Sandstone is our new premier herdsire purchased in September 2019 from Darrell & Merlene Anderson . He is co-owned by Walnut Ridge Llama Farm & Michael & Patricia West.
Sandstone was undefeated in the show ring as a juvenile, including being named Grand Champion Silky Male at the 2016 ILR Gathering, and winning his class at the LFA World Futurity. As a yearling, he captured the Reserve Champion award at the 2017 ILR Gathering.
The Andersons considered JLL Madison to be the most consistent and powerful foundation female in their herd. She dominated the show ring winning many shows throughout the country. When they were afforded the opportunity to breed her to GNLC Scorcher, they jumped at the chance. Scorcher was never beat in the show ring, including being named Grand Champion Suri Male at the 2014 ILR Gathering.
Sandstone captured the very best from both his sire and dam. His unique color, style, presence and stretch, combined with his silky fiber has earned him the premier spot in our herdsire row.
Sandstone looks great no matter which way he faces.
