Caru Lakshmi

Description

Caru Lakshmi is a beautiful, stretchy white suri female with striking red highlights around her head and hindquarters. She originates from the respected Caru breeding program of Dayle Russell, and she is a female I admired long before she officially joined our herd. I first fell in love with Lakshmi in March of 2021 while traveling with a good friend of mine, Tom Cooke, to purchase her for his farm, Acorn Hill Llama Farm. Over time, Tom took a liking to several of our llamas and approached me about the possibility of a “llama trade.” After some thoughtful discussion, we agreed—and in May of 2025, Lakshmi and her male cria made the journey home with me to Walnut Ridge. Lakshmi brings together some truly impressive genetics. Her sire, Ollendick Farms High Gear, traces back to outstanding bloodlines including GNLC Switchfoot and DDL Dream Catcher, both known for contributing quality structure and presence. Her dam, Magical Twist, is a proven daughter of KVL Timone’s Pride, adding further depth and consistency to Lakshmi’s pedigree. We are especially excited to incorporate Lakshmi’s tall, stretchy frame and refined suri qualities into our breeding program. She represents exactly the kind of female that helps move a herd forward—strong genetics, elegant conformation, and a story that makes her even more special to have at Walnut Ridge.
