Art Day Camp
Coming Summer 2026
“Art at the Llama Farm” is a one-of-a-kind summer day camp experience held at The Llama Farm, located just minutes from Greeneville and Jonesborough, Tennessee. Designed for children ages 8 to 13, this immersive camp blends creativity, education, animals, and nature into an unforgettable summer adventure. Unlike traditional camps, Art at the Llama Farm invites children into a peaceful, inspiring environment where imagination thrives and learning happens naturally.

Set on a scenic 26-acre working llama farm, the camp provides the perfect backdrop for discovery and hands-on experiences. Surrounded by rolling pastures, fresh air, and gentle llamas, children step away from screens and schedules and into a world where life moves in harmony with nature. No prior artistic experience is required—this camp is for curious minds, creative spirits, and children who simply love to explore and try new things.
Throughout the camp sessions, students engage in a wide variety of fiber arts and creative projects. They learn the lost and fascinating art of working with natural llama fiber through activities such as dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, and felting. Traditional arts and crafts—drawing, painting, and even felting soap—encourage self-expression while building confidence and fine motor skills. Each project emphasizes process over perfection, allowing every child to discover their own creative voice.

Farm life is a central part of the experience. Campers participate in daily farm and llama activities, including feeding llamas and chickens, grooming and learning about shearing, training crias (baby llamas), and navigating fun llama obstacle courses. These gentle, curious animals quickly become teachers themselves, helping children develop patience, empathy, and respect for living creatures.
Nature exploration rounds out each day with llama trekking, hiking, gardening, and outdoor discovery. Physical and fun activities such as hayrides, field games, board games, and old-timey games keep energy high and smiles constant. Academic enrichment is woven seamlessly into the experience, with math, science, social studies, and language arts taught through farm activities, art projects, journaling, creative writing, and storytelling—learning without the pressure of a classroom.

Led by Jerry and Carolyn, both retired educators, the camp is grounded in years of teaching experience, care, and a genuine love for children and learning. Their thoughtful guidance ensures a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every camper feels valued.
At Art at the Llama Farm, children create, explore, learn, and connect—with nature, animals, and themselves. Art, animals, and nature—it truly doesn’t get better than that.

If you are 8 to 13 years old for the children’s camp, come spend a few days at The Llama Farm and have a great time expressing your creative side and learning all about llamas and farm life.
