Farm Tours

Nestled in the rolling hills of East Tennessee, The Llama Farm offers a one-of-a-kind farm tour experience with breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences. Our farm tours invite guests to slow down, breathe in the mountain air, and connect with the gentle charm of the llamas—all while enjoying a stunning 180-degree view of the Smoky Mountains.

Your visit begins at the barndemenium with a relaxing ride on the “llamazine” wagon through the farm. As you roll across the property, you’ll take in the peaceful scenery of pastures, barns, and open skies, with the mountains rising majestically in the distance. It’s the perfect way to settle into the rhythm of farm life and get a sense of what makes The Llama Farm at Walnut Ridge such a special place.

During the wagon ride, guests will visit the llama barns, where you’ll learn more about these fascinating animals and daily life on a working llama farm. Llamas are known for their calm personalities and curious nature, and seeing them up close gives visitors a deeper appreciation for their unique characteristics. While we do not feed the llamas during the tour to ensure their health and safety, there are plenty of opportunities to observe, interact, learn, and possibly receive a “llama kiss.”

One of the highlights of the tour is meeting the baby llamas. Guests can pet them, take photos, and enjoy watching their playful antics. These moments are often a favorite for children and adults alike, creating memories that last long after the visit ends. The farm is a wonderful place for capturing photos—whether it’s a sweet snapshot with a cria (baby llama) or a scenic shot of the mountains stretching across the horizon.

The tour concludes with time to browse the Llama Store, where you can shop for unique, high-quality items inspired by our farm and animals, from soft fleece to handmade crafts. Supporting our farm means supporting sustainable practices and local artisans. It’s a great opportunity to take home a souvenir or gift that reflects your experience at The Llama Farm.
