Description

WRLF Stixx is a striking white and red gelded male who quickly won our hearts with his sweet demeanor and compact size. From the very beginning, there was something special about this little boy, and we knew he was meant to stay right here at Walnut Ridge Farm. Stixx carries an impressive pedigree. His sire, Solid Rock's Sandstone, is a National Champion known for his outstanding quality and presence. His dam, Criation's Raja, was our oldest female at 19 years of age when Stixx was conceived. Raja would often lay beside Sandstone’s paddock, patiently and persistently waiting for her opportunity. She was still healthy and strong, so when the time was right, I allowed her into his paddock — and she cushed right down to be bred. Several months later, Stixx arrived after a completely normal birth, a blessing to us all. Raja was, as always, a wonderful and attentive mother. Sadly, just three months after his birth, she went down and passed away. Losing her was difficult, but her legacy lives on through another female, Ria, and this special boy. Stixx proved early on that he was clever and determined. After losing his dam, he figured out how to sneak in and steal milk from other mothers while their crias were nursing. That resourcefulness helped him thrive all the way to weaning. Despite being somewhat small in stature, he developed a big personality to match his bright spirit. Because of his gentle nature and manageable size, we decided to keep Stixx as a companion llama for our Agri-tourism events. He was gelded at the appropriate age and has grown into a reliable, good-natured ambassador. Stixx can be easily haltered in the field and enjoys interacting with visitors, making him a wonderful addition to our farm family. Stixx is truly a testament to resilience, sweetness, and the enduring influence of a great mother.
