Description
Squires Show Stock Duramax is quite simply one of the most impressive herdsires to ever call Walnut Ridge home. Arguably the largest herdsire on the farm, Duramax tips the scales at an astonishing 400 pounds, yet carries himself with the calm, gentle demeanor that makes him a pleasure to handle. He wears a flowing white suri fleece with beautiful drape and luster—cool to the touch and striking in presentation. Despite his massive size, Duramax is exceptionally easy on the lead, proving that true power can come with a kind disposition. Duramax was shown once at the West Virginia Llama Show, where he earned the coveted title of Double Grand Champion, a testament to his outstanding conformation, presence, and fleece quality. His pedigree is equally impressive. Duramax is sired by Shifting Gears, bringing in the powerhouse Peruvian genetics of GNLC Switchfoot. His dam, Rosie, traces back to elite and proven bloodlines including Sijama, GNLC Caspian, and GC’s Inca Legend—a lineage known for excellence in size, structure, and suri fiber. Duramax already has several beautiful crias on the ground from his time at Northwind Llama Farm in Michigan, and we are excited to see the legacy he will continue to build. We extend our sincere thanks to Bob Lamorte for the opportunity to co-own this remarkable male. As Duramax begins producing with our girls here in Tennessee, we eagerly anticipate the exceptional offspring that are sure to follow.
